Book Autopsy by Kathleen Sawyer.
Reminiscent of the anatomical books of yesteryear, this book autopsy begins with the sutured incisions on the first page and move through many layers of tissue and organs as the reader continues. From lungs, to heart, to bowel, this is a wonderfully conceived project.
“Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn’t carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life.”
-Stephen King
One of my favorite things out there, hands down. I’m in love with the style and music score, gives me chills every time.
Sedlec Ossuary
The small chapel located in the Czech Republic is adorned with the skeletons of 40,000 - 70,000 people. An enormous chandelier of bones, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, hangs from the center of the nave with garlands of skulls draping the vault.

What do you do with a lot of dead monks and limited real estate?
You get creative.
Universal Understanding
Our brains may never be able to fully comprehend the complexities of the universe, but knowing our limitations should not hinder exploration or contemplation.
Part of “Dangerous Ideas”, my thesis work exploring controversial concepts proposed by various scientists and intellectuals, using visual metaphors to investigate how these ideas can make us so uncomfortable.

I don’t usually like any modifications on taxidermy animals, but this is amazing. It actually looks natural, like some long extinct species of deer! I’m not too sure if it’s a real piece or photoshop (I’m leaning towards photoshop) but either way, I’d love to attempt to recreate one like it.
It is indeed real. I don’t remember who mounted it, but it was posted on taxinet a while ago, and I believe exhibited at a taxidermy competition. Here’s another photo of the same mount;
